La strada , now considered a classic, was the first in a trilogy of films in which Fellini explored how an unforgiving world greets innocence. The second two films in the trilogy were Il bidone and Le notti di Cabiria , that latter landing Fellini his second Oscar. In all, Fellini won five Oscars and was nominated for several others.

He was awarded his final Oscar, for career achievement, in , just a few months before his death. The award is considered to be on the same footing as the Nobel Prize. On October 31, , a day after his 50th wedding anniversary, Fellini died of a heart attack in Rome at the age of We strive for accuracy and fairness.

A striking beauty, Loren is often listed among the world's all time most attractive women. A leading figure of Italian High Renaissance classicism, Raphael is best known for his "Madonnas," including the Sistine Madonna, and for his large figure compositions in the Palace of the Vatican in Rome. The Maestro had never been especially interested in straightforward linear narrative, his plotlines, if they can so be called, being always rambling and episodic.
